Sakarya University of Applied Sciences (SUBÜ) is a public university founded in 2018 in Sakarya. It focuses on applied education, integrating knowledge with skills and the labour market through workplace training and professional practice.
Sakarya University of Applied Sciences was established on 18 May 2018 under Law No. 7141. Its applied-education model integrates knowledge with skills and includes the “+1” workplace-training model in relevant programs. The university’s current official homepage reports 26,654 students: 15,292 associate, 9,713 bachelor’s, 1,423 master’s and 226 doctoral students, together with 695 academics and 91 student clubs. Turkish is the main language of instruction, while language and workplace-training requirements vary by program. SUBÜ operates across Sakarya and offers programs in technology and engineering, health, tourism, sport, agriculture, applied sciences and vocational education.
